The Beat Project is Recruiting  a youth and community development coordinator for the Tonbridge area

Are you:

  • Experienced in working within communities and with challenging, vulnerable, Young People at risk of exclusion?
  • Excited about working on your own and with volunteers?
  • Encouraged that this project will work in partnership with several local organisations?
  • A believer in your own skills and abilities and that you can make a difference to the lives of young people and the community.
  • Excited about being involved in new ideas and activities?

The Beat Project has been in Trench for a number of years and has achieved great work, made many contacts and established itself as an important part of youth and community development in the area.

We are now looking for a suitable person to take over from the current community outreach coordinator and continue this work.

The main aspects for the role is to 

  • Work with young people, families and the wider community in Trench.
  • Build on the strong partnership working already in place.
  • Work closely with local organisations, professionals, local council and statutory bodies to further develop opportunities for local people.
  • Be the face and contact for the Beat Project in the area

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Beat Project team. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and creativity as well as a passion to work with young people and communities in partnership with several agencies.
