Community Action project was designed to encourage Kent young people aged from 14 to 16 years old to take part in volunteering opportunities.
The Smart Team was commissioned to deliver two days training at 13 schools across the county.
Each day was split into two sessions (mornings and afternoons) working with up to 120 students in each school.
Each session was designed to include:

• An introduction to the programme and an open discussion about volunteering amongst this age group
• Drama warm-ups, team work and confidence building exercises
• An introduction to film-making and film technology training.
• The Formation of camera crews organised and supported by professional film-makers.
• Break out groups discussing topics related to volunteering and coming up with honest answers to specific questions on volunteering.
• A filmed pod cast of each groups answer to their specific questions.
• The completion of research questionnaires.
