Junk DrummingThe aims of the Junk Drumming Projects are to raise
awareness and educate young people regarding further learning and training
opportunities in their local areas in all subjects but especially music and the
arts. It will enable participants to build confidence and self esteem, and of
course to have lots of fun and make new friends, whilst being involved in
something new, interesting and unique.
Relax and Create The Beat Project has set up and delivered a music and arts
courses incorporating relaxation, massage, the creation of therapeutic music
and the design of an allotment. Music and arts activities were a great medium
to include basic skills including numeracy and literacy, IT skills. Residents
have received training by professional tutors in all aspects of the
course.
